「Empress Jingu and
Takeuchino Sukune」
- According to the Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan), the second son of the
14th Emperor of Japan, Yamato Takerunomikoto, went on an inspection trip
to Nankai Province, and while staying at Tokuritsu-no-miya in Kinokuni,
it was reported that Kumaso in Kyushu had started a rebellion.
- From there, the emperor hurriedly set off by ship to conquer the Kumaso, and met up with the empress, Princess Okinagatarashi Hime Mikoto, at Anato Nagato and western Yamaguchi Prefecture.
- When they arrived at Kashii Palace in present-day Fukuoka City, the empress was ordained by the gods to make an oracle of the emperor to attack Silla on the Korean peninsula rather than Kumaso.
- The emperor doubted this, so he was killed without fulfilling his mandate. Therefore, the Shilla War was to be carried out by the hand of Hegatoku Hime Son. This Princess Long Leg is the Empress Jingu Kougo.
