  • 青森ヒバはヒノキ科アスナロ属の針葉樹です。和名はヒノキアスナロと言います。
    青森ヒバは湿気に強く、腐れにくく、防虫効果に優れています。
    古くから神社仏閣の土台として用いられ、中尊寺金色堂や弘前城にも使われているそうです。
    青森ひばは秋田杉、木曽檜と並んで日本三大美林の一つに数えられています。
  • Aomori hiba is a coniferous tree in the Asunaro genus of the cypress family. The Japanese name is "Hinoki Asunaro".
    Aomori hiba is resistant to moisture, rotting, and has excellent insect control properties.
    It has been used as a foundation for shrines and temples for a long time, and is also used in Chuson-ji Konjikido and Hirosaki Castle.
    Aomori hiba is one of the three most beautiful forests in Japan along with Akita cedar and Kiso cypress.
